RIP: Tributes paid to Waterford man who was a 'wonderful character' following his passing

Dermot KIERSEY - Viewmount, Waterford - Monday 12th May 2025

Tributes have been paid following the passing of Dermot Kiersey of Viewmount, Waterford.

Dermot passed away on the 12th of May 2025.

Predeceased by his father David and his mother Maura.

Dermot will be sadly missed by his loving wife Sheila, sons Paul, Robert and Edward, their partners Kajsa, Anne and Niamh, brothers John and Kevin, sisters Avril and Cliona, grandchildren Eleanor, Mark, Aoife, Hugo and James, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Tributes have been paid in the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: 

"Sincere Sympathy to John , Grace , Sheila & the Kiersey Family on the death of Dermot . He was one of nature’s Gentleman & was always great company. May he rest in peace."

Another reads:

"Our sincere condolences to Sheila and the Kiersey family on the sad and untimely passing of your beloved Dermot. What a wonderful character! He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Rest in peace Dermot."

Funeral Arrangements

Requiem Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Ballygunner on Thursday May 15th at 11.30am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
