Tributes have been pouring in for the late Denis Moynihan, of Cloneety Villas in Dungarvan, who peacefully passed away in the tender care of staff at St Vincent's Unit in Dungarvan Community Hospital, surrounded by his loving family,
Mr Moynihan, who died on Thursday, January 30 at 103-years-old, was predeceased by his wife Cecilia, baby daughter Carmelita, parents Jer and Mary.
He will be deeply mourned and sadly missed by his family Noel, Bernard, Paul, Denis, Mary, Joe and Anne, sons-in-law Nicky and P.J, daughters-in-law Terri, Jo, Sadie, Anne and Frances, grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives, neighbours and friends.
Many family, friends, and colleagues have taken to RIP.ie to express their condolences.
Former co-workers spoke highly of the man, saying, "Everyone at Cairde Credit Union was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Denis Moynihan. Denis’ support of and commitment to the Credit Union was unrivalled. His dedication to the voluntary role of Membership Officer, a duty he performed for many years, is spoken of to this day with admiration. Sincere condolences to Denis’ immediate and extended family. May he rest in peace."

While a friend said, "I have lovely memories of Denis in Lourdes, he was one of the really good guys always there and willing to help with whatever was needed. Condolences to all. May he rest in peace."
A neighbour commented, "So sad to hear of Denis passing, a true gentleman, kind and gentle, generous with his time and advice, the best neighbour anyone could have. He will be truly missed. May his beautiful gentle soul rest in peace. My sincere condolences to all the family."
The Waterford native will be reposing at The Kiely Funeral Home, Dungarvan on tonight, from 5 pm, with prayers at 7pm.
The Requiem Mass will take place tomorrow morning, February 1, at 11am, in St. Mary's Parish Church. Interment will be held afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
