Wedding bells in Waterford as daughter of well-known GAA commentator marries Kilkenny hurler

The marriage of Rioghnach Nic Dhonncha and Tullaroan clubman Peter Walshe was celebrated on Friday last in the Church of St Nicholas, Ring, County Waterford.

Rioghnach is the daughter of TG4's well-known Waterford commentator Mac Dara Mac Donncha.

The Nuptial Mass was celebrated by Fr Michael Enright. Bridesmaids were Ailbhe Nic Dhonnca and Líadain Nic Dhonncha, both sisters of the bride, along with Áine Butterly, friend of the bride.

Best man Chris Walshe, brother of the groom while groomsmen were Ian Connellan and Shane Cuddihy, friends of the groom.

Music for the ceremony was provided by Pax Ó Faoláin, Cárthach Ó Faoláin, Macdara Ó Faoláin, Féilim Mac Donncha, Claire Lancaster and Mac Dara Mac Donncha.

The wedding reception took place in the Garyvoe Hotel, East Cork, where dancing went on until the early hours of Saturday morning.

The happy couple are honeymooning in the Caribbean and are wished many years of happiness together.

Peter is son of Dick and Berna Walshe, Tullaroan and Ríoghnach is daughter of Mac Dara Mac Donncha and Muireann Mhic Dhonncha, Ring, County Waterford.
