A man was threatened with a knife and robbed of sentimental gold jewellery during a frightening incident involving two suspects on e-bikes in Waterford on Sunday evening.
The robbery happened at around 7.20pm on March 8 along the outer ring road between the Johns Park roundabout and the Kilcohan junction, according to gardaí.
The victim was approached by two young males on e-bikes who initially asked him for the time before cycling away.
However, they soon returned and demanded the man's jewellery.
When he refused to hand it over, one of the suspects produced a flick knife and threatened him again, forcing the victim to comply.
The robbers stole a gold chain with a crucifix, a gold Claddagh ring and a gold bangle-style rigid bracelet, which gardaí described as "very specific and sentimental pieces".

Both suspects then fled the scene on their bikes in the direction of the Kilcohan area.
The first suspect was riding a black e-bike with a purple strip, and is described as slim build, early 20s, wearing a red and green jacket.
The second suspect, who was slightly bigger in build, was also on a black e-bike and wore a dark grey Montirex jacket with grey tracksuit bottoms.
Both men were believed to have Waterford accents, and both wore ski-type masks during the robbery.
Gardaí are now appealing to anyone who may have seen the two suspects on e-bikes in the area on Sunday evening to come forward.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Waterford Crime Unit or leave a voice message on the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
