ALERT: Waterford road to close over Christmas 'due to safety concerns'
Traffic will be permitted for deliveries from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Monday to Saturday.
Waterford City and County Council have issued an alert warning of the closure of the Apple Market and John Roberts Square over Christmas.
In the update, the council said: "Due to safety concerns, Apple Market and John Robert Square will be closed to general traffic throughout the holiday season."
There will be delivery access only.
They council said: "Traffic will be permitted for deliveries from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Monday to Saturday.

"Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our community safe and festive this holiday season," they concluded in a short statement.
