ALERT: Local road closures announced for 2-day cycling event and Waterford Walls Festival

Details have been released about road closures in Waterford for a local two-day cycling event and the Waterford Walls Festival. 

Waterford City and County Council has given notice that it will close the following public road to through traffic from 8.30am to 1pm on Sunday, 9th July, 2023 to facilitate Dungarvan Cycling Club Youth 2 Day Event.

Road to be closed:

·        R677 St. Annes Terrace and Main Street Kilmacthomas, Co. Waterford

Diversion Route:

·        Via N25 and Rossmore Road

"Waterford City & County Council wishes to apologise for any inconvenience caused," the local authority stated. 

It was also announced that the following public road will be closed to through traffic from 3rd to 6th July and from 14th to 17th August, 2023 to facilitate the painting of mural artworks for Waterford Walls Street Art Festival.

·        Sergeants Lane, Waterford

·        Traffic coming from Jenkin’s Lane direction: no right turn, access O’Connell Street via Meetinghouse Lane and Thomas Hill 

·        Traffic going towards Jenkin’s Lane Car Park: No Restriction
