Gardaí in Waterford arrest two men in connection with Tramore Hotel fire

Gardaí in County Waterford arrested two men on Wednesday in connection with a fire at the vacant Tramore Hotel. 

The two men were brought to Tramore Garda Station on suspicion of criminal damage for questioning. They were held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act and have since been released without charge. 

Firefighters tackled the blaze for over five hours, which broke out on August 11. Nobody was injured during the incident, which caused considerable damage to the property.

A file is currently being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
