Cult classic to be screened in Waterford this Halloween

Central Arts in Waterford is set to host a special screening of the classic film The Rocky Horror Picture Show, followed by the groovy and spooky sounds of Super DJ Dooper this Halloween.

In this cult classic, sweethearts Brad (Barry Bostwick) and Janet (Susan Sarandon), stuck with a flat tire during a storm, discover the eerie mansion of Dr. Frank-N-Furter (Tim Curry), a transvestite scientist.

As their innocence is lost, Brad and Janet meet a houseful of wild characters, including a rocking biker (Meat Loaf) and a creepy butler (Richard O'Brien). Through elaborate dances and rock songs, Frank-N-Furter unveils his latest creation: a muscular adonis named Rocky.

There will be plenty of entertainment on the night such as an optional drinking game throughout the film. Everyone is welcome to come in fancy dress as a character from the movie, your average Halloween costume or whatever you can conjure up on the night.

It all happens in Central Arts on Halloween Night, Wednesday, October 31 from 9pm (movie starts 10pm sharp). This is a BYOB event. Tickets are €10 and are available from www.centralarts.ie
