Waterford hit with double weather warning from Met Éireann
Waterford has been included in two weather warnings issued by Met Éireann on Wednesday, December 12.
The first is a Status Yellow wind warning covering Wexford, Cork, Kerry and Waterford. The national forecaster says "southeasterly winds will reach mean speeds between 50 and 65km/h at times, with gusts between 90 and 100 km/h. Winds will be strongest along coastal areas."
This warning is valid from 4pm on Wednesday until 2pm on Thursday.
The second warning is a Status Yellow rainfall warning for Cork, Kerry and Waterford.
This warns that heavy rain will lead to accumulations between 25mm and 50mm with spot flooding possible. There is the potential for higher values in mountainous areas, according to Met Éireann.
The rainfall warning is vaild from 6pm on Thursday until 6pm on Thursday.
