Following Met Éireann's Status Orange and Yellow weather warnings for heavy rain and thunderstorms in a number of counties on Monday, their latest forecast for the week ahead shows there's more rain on the way over the coming days.
There will be more dry weather over the next few days, however showers are forecast everyday of this week. Although Met Éireann has assured that, unlike what we saw on Monday morning, "accumulations will be small."
In some more optimistic news, the forecaster has said that a good deal of dry weather is expected on Saturday with sunny spells and some showers.
Here is how the forecast is shaping up for the week ahead according to Met Éireann.
Tuesday morning will be dry in most parts with bright spells and some isolated showers. More frequent showers will start to spread from the west through the morning and afternoon. Highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees.

Tuesday night will the see the showers become more isolated as drier conditions and clear spells start to develop in most areas. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 14 degrees.
Wednesday will be cloudy and dry, although there will be some showers in places. Highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees.
Wednesday night will be mostly dry with clear spells. Cloud will build towards morning time. Lowest temperatures of 9 to 13 degrees.
Similarly, Thursday will be dry and cloudy in most places with the chance of some showers. Outbreaks of rain and drizzle will develop in western and southwestern areas later in the evening. Highest temperatures of 18 to 22 degrees.
Friday will be off to a cloudy start with some scattered showers. These showers will become more isolated through the day with more sunny spells developing. Highest temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees.
