According to Met Éireann, today, Tuesday 30th January, will be bright but expect a chilly and frosty start for most with air temperatures of -3 to +2°C.
The frost and ice will soon clear, making it dry across most areas for the day with low winter sunshine and just light southwest breezes.
A chilly day with highest temperatures of 6 to 9 degrees.
Tuesday night will be dry with clear spells. Lowest temperatures of 0 to 6 degrees, coldest and clearest across the east with some frost there. Light to moderate southwest winds will freshen later.
On Wednesday 31st January, expect some bright or sunny spells in the morning, before cloud increases and a band of rain moves down from the northwest. Windy with fresh to strong southwest winds, later veering westerly and moderating. Highest temperatures of 10 to 12 degrees.
National Outlook: Mild and breezy with scattered outbreaks of rain, mainly affecting Atlantic counties.
