Waterford Educate Together National School proudly represented the city at the National Cineáltas Showcase recently.
The showcase hosted by Minister for Education Norma Foley took place in Croke Park. This prestigious event highlighted the incredible efforts of schools across Ireland in promoting kindness and combating bullying.
Waterford Education Together was one of just eleven schools in all of Ireland selected to participate due to its outstanding initiatives in fostering a culture of respect and inclusivity among students. The showcase served as a platform for schools to display their innovative projects and share best practices.
Principal Patrick Pender expressed immense pride in the school's accomplishments: "I am thrilled that our commitment to promoting kindness and preventing bullying has been recognised on such a national stage. Our students and staff have worked tirelessly to create a supportive environment, and it is heartening to see their efforts celebrated."
Minister Foley commended the school’s display at showcase stating, how impressed she was by the creativity and the dedication shown by the students and staff at Waterford Educate Together in the fight against bullying.
The event not only showcased exceptional student work but also encouraged collaboration among schools to foster kindness within their communities.
As a continuation of its commitment to openness and community engagement, Waterford Educate Together National School invites families and prospective students to its Open Day on Tuesday, October 15th, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. This is a wonderful opportunity for parents and students to explore the school, meet the staff, and learn more about the initiatives that make our school a leader in promoting a positive school culture.
