Waterford GAA club seek retention for prefab club meeting rooms

Abbeyside/Ballinacourty GAA Club in Dungarven have been conditionally allowed to retain a prefab building used for club meetings
A GAA club in Dungarven have been granted conditional permission to retain a prefab building currently used for club meetings.
The application submitted by Abbeyside/Ballinacourty GAA Club, in December last year, sought to "retain indefinitely the existing prefabricated building to be used for club meetings."
The club also applied for permission to to build a new shed to use as a temporary gym for players.
In the second part of their application, they requested permission to "construct a Steel Machinery Shed to be used temporarily as a Strength and Conditioning Gym for Abbeyside/Ballinacourty GAA Club members".
Permission was granted on Friday, February 2, 2024, subject to three conditions, including that the works be "retained and carried out in accordance with plans and particulars submitted to the planning authority".
Other conditions state that all excavated materials should be reused where possible on site, and that proper measures be taken to ensure surface water runoff does not adversely affect surrounding properties or public roads.
