Witnesses are being sought after a man was attacked in Waterford city while walking home from work late at night.
In an appeal, gardai say members of the Waterford Crime Unit are investigating the robbery incident which occurred in the Old Tramore Road in the Kilcohan area during the June bank holiday weekend.
"On Monday, June 2, a male was walking home from work at approximately 12:50am through the car park at Kilcohan shopping centre when two males approached him and demanded cash. He continued walking and one of the males pushed him to the ground and assaulted him, he then stole his wallet which contained a sum of money," said Sergeant Deirdre O'Neill who added that the injured party was extremely shaken following the incident.
