Waterford FC have announced new full-time roles as part of the club's long-term plans.

Richy Walsh joins as Operations Manager while Colin Power becomes Head of Community.

On the appointments, Blues Chairman Andy Pilley told the club website: “We are absolutely delighted to bring Colin and Richy in on a full-time basis, it’s important we grow the club off the pitch as well as on it.

“I’ve made no secret that we have huge plans for the club going forward and these appointments are another step towards that.

“Colin is someone who’s been working hard for the club for a number of years on a voluntary basis and we are delighted to be able to reward him with this role.

“More importantly it will allow us to make a real positive impact in the community – something which is hugely important to me and the club.

“In Richy, we have someone who knows the club inside out, his grandfather Michael is a club legend, and we are delighted to have them both on board.

“What’s important to me is we have Waterford people at the heart of Waterford Football Club.”

The club have also seen the departure of Technical Director Jonathan Walters following an announcement on Sunday evening.

Pilley added: “We’d like to thank Jonathan for his hard work and professionalism during his short time with the club.

“He was brought in at a time where we had a real lack of knowledge of Irish football, something which he helped with greatly.

“The Technical Director role is one we won’t be replacing at the moment. We are very happy with the management team we now have in place and in Keith Long and Alan Reynolds feel we have both the experience and knowledge to drive the football side of the club forward.”
