The Blues have announced the signing of ex-Manchester City youth captain Rowan McDonald.
The Oldham-born 21-year-old can operate in defence or midfield and has represented England at underage level.
Rowan, who joins the club pending international clearance, told Waterford FC's website: "I'm really happy to be here. I'm looking forward to getting started and playing in front of the fans already.
"I can’t wait to get on the pitch and work with Keith [Long] and the staff to push for a successful end to the season.
"I'm looking to break into the team straight away to try to help get the club promoted."
Head coach Keith Long added: "I want to welcome Rowan and we're delighted he's joined the club. He's come through Manchester City's youth system and we're looking forward to working with him here.
"Rowan can play in a couple of different positions so he gives us lots of cover as we look ahead to a busy end to the season."
