Permission granted for major redevelopment of Waterford car showroom
The redevelopment is planned for the Volkswagen garages on the Cork Road in Waterford city
Planning permission has been granted for the redevelopment of a car showroom in Waterford city.
The application, which was submitted by JA Boland Waterford LTD, details plans for the Volkswagen garages on the Cork Road.
A single storey extension will be constructed to the side of the existing western showroom, which was formerly Waterford City Ford.
As well as that, a number of elevational treatments will be undertaken to the front facade of the showroom.
Meanwhile, the other existing showroom, which was formerly McConnell’s Waterford, is set to be demolished to make way for the development.
A number of associated site works are also planned, including new display parking areas and new building signage.
The planning application was submitted on April 1. Waterford City and County Council granted permission for the development on May 26, with seven conditions attached.
