RIP
A woman in her 30s has died following a fatal road collision involving a car and a truck in Monaghan.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision at Castleshane, Co Monaghan, on Wednesday 10th September 2025.
The collision involving a car and a truck occurred on the N2 at approximately 2:45pm.
Gardai have confirmed that the driver of the car, a female in her 30s, was pronounced deceased at the scene. A post-mortem examination will be arranged.
No other injuries were reported.
The road was closed for an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and has since reopened.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 2:30pm and 2:50pm on Wednesday 10th September 2025, are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
