The FSAI have advised that Garden of Eden have recalled their Baby Spinach & Mixed Baby Leaf products due to the detection of Listeria monocytogenes
The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) has advised consumers across the country that Garden of Eden have recalled their Baby Spinach & Mixed Baby Leaf products.
According to the public notice issued by the FSAI, the batches in question have been recalled due to the presence of Listeria monocytogenes.
Consumers are being advised that the recalled batches of the Garden of Eden Spinach are pack sizes of 100g, 200g and 500g with the batch codes F2776 and F2786.
The Garden of Eden Mixed Bay Leaf are the 100g and 500g pack sizes with batch codes of 0805B, 0805P, 0805R and 0805Y.

Symptoms of Listeria monocytogenes infection can include mild flu-like symptoms, or gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. In rare cases, the infection can be more severe, causing serious complications.
Wholesalers/distributors are requested to contact their affected customers and recall the implicated batches and provide a point-of-sale recall notice to their retailer customers.
While Caterers are being advised that they should not use the implicated batches.
Consumers are being advised not to eat the specified batches, which are being recalled from by Garden of Eden, effective immediately.
