RIP: 'Gorgeous little boy'- Family devastated as precious baby boy dies battling an illness

Tributes have poured in following the heartbreaking death of a young baby boy who died of an illness while in the UK.

Baby Tadhg Hayes was from Ennis in Clare and was 18 months old at the time of his passing on the 26th August 2025 at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Newcastle in the UK, after battling a short illness with strength and resilience.
The young baby boy will be sadly missed by his heartbroken parents Elaine (nee Harding) and Alan, brother Seán, cherished grandparents Moira and Brian Harding and Gerard and Siobhán Hayes, godparents Auntie Hillary and Uncle Jason, auntie Valerie, uncles Patrick and partner Lisa, Brian Jnr, and Brian Hayes, uncles and aunts in law Josie and Suzie and Brendan, dear family friend Tracy, and a wide circle of friends

FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS:

Funeral Mass in St. Brecan’s Church, Doora, on Friday 5th Sept. at 11 am. Burial afterwards in Templemaley Cemetery, Barefield.

Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust in memory of Tadhg Hayes

Heartfelt messages have flooded in on RIP.ie, from those wishing to console the grieving family, with one mourner writing,

"Heartfelt sympathy to the Hayes and Harding family on the sad passing of your precious little baby boy Tadhg. May his beautiful soul rest in heavenly peace and give you strength to bear this terrible loss".

Another message said, "I am so sorry for the devastating loss of your beautiful son. I cannot imagine the pain you are experiencing at the moment, life can be so cruel, poor baby didn't deserve this. You will be in my thoughts over the coming days, weeks and months. Rest in peace little man xxx".

"Elaine and family, I am so sorry for the loss of your gorgeous little boy. Life can be so cruel and unfair. He will always be with you, watching over you all. May his gentle soul RIP," another person said.

"We have no words .This is heart-breaking and unthinkable .We can but wish for you to find the strength and courage to carry this, knowing your beautiful little boy will always be in your hearts. Heaven has gained a new little angel," another person said.
