Gardaí confirm sighting of Gerard Fitzgerald days after disappearance as search intensifies

New confirmed sighting sparks renewed appeal for Irish man (39) missing for over two weeks

An urgent search is continuing for an Irish man who has been missing for over two weeks, as Gardaí confirmed a new lead in the investigation.

Gerard Fitzgerald, aged 39, was reported missing from Bray, Co Wicklow, on Friday, June 20.

Gardaí have now confirmed that Gerard was spotted in the early hours of Monday, June 23, at Bray Dart Station, just days after he disappeared.

"There has since been a confirmed sighting of Gerard in the early hours of Monday 23rd June 2025 at Bray Dart station," gardaí said in a statement.

However, he has not been seen or heard from since that sighting, and concern for his wellbeing is growing.

Gerard is described as approximately 5 foot 10 inches in height, of slim build, with brown hair and hazel or green eyes.

"Gardaí and Gerard's family are concerned for his well-being," a Garda spokesperson said in a renewed appeal today.

Anyone who may have information on Gerard's whereabouts is urged to contact Bray Garda Station on (01) 6665300, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.
