Gardaí stopped a reckless driver on their phone this week and subsequently discovered several other illegal issues which caused them to seize the vehicle and issue a fixed charge notice.
In a post on X, An Garda Síochána said,
"We were on patrol in Citywest yesterday when we saw this driver on their phone.
"They were stopped and we found that the driver was an unaccompanied learner with no L-plates, an out of date NCT and two badly damaged front tyres.
"The car was seized and FCPN was issued."
