The family of a little girl who got sick while on holiday in Spain is “blown away” by the support they have received from the public.
Millie Wilson, from Donegal, was on holiday with her family when she suddenly had to be hospitalised after getting bacterial meningitis and sepsis.
To help the family cover the medical costs, a friend organised a fundraiser for the little girl, who remains in the hospital.
Cora Farren, the organiser, said: “We started this “gofundme” last night at 8 pm and we are absolutely amazed and blown away by people’s generosity. We are so grateful for how generous and thoughtful everyone has been. Every single donation has been seen and to each and every one of you, thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts! Gemma and Ben are completely overwhelmed by your generosity and cannot thank you all enough.”
So far, €12,275 have been donated to help the little girl.
