Red wind warning issued for several counties in the west of Ireland as Storm Isha hits

Met Éireann have a Status Red Weather Warning for issued for Donegal, Galway and Mayo as Storm Isha hits Ireland.

In Galway and Mayo, the warning is in place from 5pm until 9pm on Sunday evening, and will be in place in Donegal from 9pm until 1am Monday morning.

The forecaster is warning the public to expect dangerous coastal conditions with high waves and treacherous travelling conditions.

They have also warned of a risk of significant and widespread power outages.

A Status Orange Wind Warning remains in place for the rest of the country.
