Met Éireann have issued a Status Yellow ice and fog warning for Monday morning.

The warning is in place until 10am this Monday, January 8, and Met Éireann have warned that icy patches and dense fog patches will lead to hazardous driving conditions.

These conditions will clear later in the day as bright or sunny spells develop, however it will remain cold with highest temperatures of 3 to 6 degrees, with the cold weather set to linger for the week.

A cold weather warning is in place across Ireland this week, with sharp/severe frost, icy patches and dense fog at times leading to hazardous/dangerous travelling conditions until Friday, January 12.
