Iarnród Éireann is advising rail users in Waterford that a temporary timetable will be put in place this bank holiday weekend, across all routes

Iarnród Éireann is advising rail users in Waterford that a temporary timetable will be put in place this bank holiday weekend, across all routes.

Because of scheduled works,  bus transfers will operate on the Waterford to Dublin Heuston service. Impacted customers will be transferred from Athy, Co Kildare to Heuston Station in Dublin.

These alterations will take place on Saturday, October 26 and Sunday, October 27. The bank holiday Monday is unaffected.

Iarnród Éireann says due to track renewal works at the approaches to Dublin's Heuston Station, platform availability will be  limited over the weekend.

Customers are advised to check times on the Irish Rail website or the Iarnród Éireann app, for alterations to their usual route times. Those wanting to book intercity travel must do so in advance on the Irish Rail website to avoid disappointment.

Full services will operate across the rest of the network over the October bank holiday weekend, on a revised timetable.
