Planning permission is being sought to convert an old warehouse in Waterford city into a venue for food and craft markets.
The application, which was submitted by Sorting Archives Limited, details plans for the building at an address of 32 High Street.
It is proposed that the site will undergo a change of use from a postal sorting office and a warehouse to a food and craft market and event venue.
As part of the development, a single storey extension would be constructed at the side of the former postal sorting office.
There are also plans for a mezzanine floor level within the former sorting office building.

As well as that, works would be undertaken to construct a roof canopy to the external area at Keizer Street and High Street.
An external boiler house would also be demolished as part of the development.
There are plans for 10 individual food and coffee outlets on the ground floor of the building, each with sales counters and security shutters fitted.
A further six such ‘pods’ are planned for the mezzanine floor, which will contain a large space where visitors can look down at the ground floor.
The main area of the ground floor will be fitted with food benches. Meanwhile, the new extension to the side of the building will provide additional space for markets and other events.
There is no car-parking planned for the site. However, there are plans for 30 bicycle parking spaces at Custom House Quay.
Waterford City and County Council received the planning application on January 19. A decision on the proposed development is expected by March 15.
