A portion of tacos a social media user is alleged to have received at a cost of €10
A number of customers have expressed their grievances about the prices and portion sizes at a new restaurant in Waterford.
Zambrero Ardkeen on the Dunmore Road only opened its doors a number of weeks ago, but has already come in for criticism on social media.
One Waterford local published a picture (above) of a portion of tacos he is alleged to have received at a cost of €10.
A number of other Waterford users reacted to the post and shared their own experiences.
One user wrote: “My partner ordered from there not long after it opened and spent over €50 on a couple of quesadillas and nacho sides.
“Not only did it arrive cold, we couldn’t believe the lack of food for the amount spent. I genuinely thought they had forgotten to add half our order.

“Absolute rip off for bland cold food. Never again. They won’t last long charging that amount,” they added.
Another user had a similarly dissatisfactory experience: “Spent €40 on a burrito bowl, quesadilla and nachos the other day.
“First and last time I'll go there. Service was really slow, granted it's only open.
“It didn't inspire confidence when the staff were looking at the menu board to see what ingredients were in the dish.”
There were also a number of humorous reactions to the post, with one user commenting: “Hope the server was at least wearing a balaclava when he robbed you.”
“Was the tray included? Only possible reason that was €10,” another added.
In response, Zambrero issued the following statement: "We are really happy to have just recently opened. We are listening to all feedback and will continue to serve fresh, feel good burritos. We would like to thank everyone so much for their support."
Zambrero's grand opening took place on Saturday, November 1, where free burritos were handed out to their first 100 customers. A buy one get one free offer was also available for the rest of the day.
