Waterford food producer scoops Gold at national Blás na hÉireann Awards
Waterford food producer, Coffee House Lane, has been recognised with a national accolade at the 2025 Blás na hÉireann Awards.
Coffee House Lane's Aikenhead Wholebean Coffee picked up a Gold Award in the 'Hot Beverages - Coffee (Blended)' category.
The company is named after the location of Ireland's first ever coffee house and the beans are produced by Mark Bergin.
Coffee House Lane is part of SuperValu's Waterford-based Food Academy, which nationally secured 96 awards.

Since joining the Food Academy, the company has grown significantly, expanding from a small business to a thriving operation.
They are also proud Origin Green verified members and all their coffees are sustainably farmed and rainforest alliance certified.
Food Academy is a unique and tailored producer development programme run in partnership between SuperValu and the Local Enterprise Offices (LEOs) and accredited by TU Dublin as a Certificate in Entrepreneurship.
The programme serves as a platform for showcasing the excellence of quality Irish products and the innovative spirit of food and drink producers across the nation.
Food Academy producers have sold a combined €260 million of products in SuperValu since 2013.
