Road works to bring a halt to traffic in Waterford City all this week
Waterford City and County Council have notified the public that roadworks may cause some traffic disruptions this week as people are advised to adhere to any changes to local traffic management in Waterford City.
Roadworks will take place every night this week from Monday, 11 August to Friday, 15 August on Meaghers Quay, Coal Quay and Custom House Quay in Waterford.
The works will commence at 8pm and finish at 6am over the five nights.
A Stop - Go traffic management system will be in operation and people are advised to adhere to all local traffic management and follow directional signage for the duration of the works.
The Council said this night time work is intended to minimise any potential traffic disruption these works may cause for residents, businesses and commuters within the vicinity.
It will also prioritise the safety of all road users and working personnel on-site. They also noted that emergency access will be maintained for the duration of the works.
Waterford City and County Council have apologised for any inconvenience caused.
