A boxer from Waterford has been named on the Ireland team to take on Wales in an international competition set to take place in Derry's Guildhall on Saturday, 1 March.

Michael Reilly, who boxes out of St Paul's Boxing Club in Waterford, is a reigning IABA 2025 Youth Competition champion and will now will take on Wales in the first Youth international to take place since March 2023.

The last competition saw Ireland go head to head with England in a dual-nations following a training camp in Ballina, County Mayo. The last Elite international took place in Castlerea, County Roscommon in April of last year when Ireland faced off with Ukraine also after a training camp.
