Planning proposal lodged for construction of large residential development in Waterford

Waterford County Council has received a planning application for a large-scale residential development in Duckspool, Dungarvan. 

S & K Carey LTD submitted the application which proposes the construction of 155 new homes as well as a creche. The development includes a mix of detached, semi-detached and terraced houses as well as duplex apartments. In total, the plans include 113 houses and 42 apartments. 

The proposed development also includes detailed plans on alterations to the existing public road frontage and a spine road with footpaths and cycle access from the public road (LR3168). The application also proposes connecting the development with the adjacent Abbeyside GAA Club through road links.

A large open public space is also mentioned in the plans, providing a recreational area to future dwellers. 

Waterford County Council are due to make their decision on the application by Thursday, 10 April.
