IN PICTURES: 'Fabulous and inspirational' young people honoured by Waterford gardai

Young people from across Waterford were honoured at the Waterford Garda Youth Awards which took place at City Hall at the weekend.

"Waterford Gardaí had the pleasure of rewarding some of the fabulous young people who are working hard to make their communities a better place all across Waterford," said a spokesperson on social media, following the event which took place at the Large Room at City Hall.

"Many thanks to all who attended and to our nominators who put forward the young people for consideration for the categories.

We had an a large number of entries and the adjudicators had a difficult task in selecting the winners," they added.
The organisers have thanked the sponsors Waterford Crystal and the Local Community Safety Partnership.
