Waterford golf club gets green light to construct health centre with seaweed baths

A popular golf club in Waterford has received planning permission to convert a ground floor restaurant into a holistic health centre. 

Representatives of Dunmore East Golf Club submitted an application for the change of use in February 2024, with approval granted by Waterford City and County Council this week (April 11). 

The permission allows for the construction of four geodesic domes to contain six seaweed baths and two saunas, together with a plunge pool, outdoor shower, sensory garden and all associated site works and services. 

The application was approved with four conditions.
