One of the largest independent forecourt retailers in Ireland is seeking permission to open an off-licence at a service station on one the busiest roads in Waterford.
Petrogas Group Ltd has submitted a planning application relating to the retail premises which is attached to the Applegreen service station on the N25 at Knockyelan, Lemybrien.
If approved, the development will see a change of use at the premises from retail to "retail with ancillary off Licence use".
According to planning documents, the application was formally lodged with Waterford City and County Council on March 22 and a decision is due by May 16.
