Ireland's first comprehensive business support pack launches in Waterford

Ireland's first comprehensive business support pack has been launched in Waterford.

Minister Paschal Donohoe launched the Business Support Pack in Dungarvan this week (Thursday February 29) alongside Dungarvan and West Waterford Chamber (D&WW Chamber).

It's hoped the package will provide information on grants, resources, funding and supports for businesses at all stages of the business journey in Ireland.

The pack includes information on many resources including:

  • Employer and workforce supports to attain talent
  • Training, upskilling and apprenticeships
  • Energy supports
  • General business supports and mentoring
  • Finance and credit options
  • Financial planning for business owners

It was put together to address concerns raised recently in a WW Chamber survey around the often overhwelming amount of business information members face, and trying to decipher what is relevant.

At the launch, Minister Donohoe said, "There are so many supports available for businesses. Well done to the Dungarvan and West Waterford Chamber, who have put together this comprehensive pack so everything businesses need to know is at their fingertips.

"Businesses using the pack will be quickly guided to what is relevant to their situation, minimising confusion and strengthening connections between supports and business sustainability.”

Dungarvan and West Waterford Chamber President, Oren Byrne, said, "It can be a very daunting experience for people in business to figure out what supports, grants and resources they can access. Working on behalf of our members, we break through confusion and simplify the presentation of information.

"We do the heavy lifting so members don’t have to, they can get on with running their business feeling informed and empowered."

You can download the Business Support Pack from the D&WW Chamber website.
