The YesYes Express (an admobile) will hit the streets of Waterford this Wednesday and canvassers will join it to engage people in Waterford on the topic of the upcoming referendums on family and care on March 8.
The YesYes Express will stop at The Men's Development Network (for a regional media briefing and photocall), the Clock Tower, Ardkeen Village and The Mall. There will be a photo call outside the Men's Development Network at 12.00pm.
Rachel Coyle, Head of Campaigns and Mobilisation at the National Women’s Council, said:
“We’re delighted to be out talking to the people of Waterford today ahead of these referendums. These votes are our opportunity to shape a fairer, more equal Ireland where all families and children are valued equally. It’s our chance to finally remove sexist and outdated language from the Constitution and shape an Ireland where the important contribution of care by both men and women is recognised.”
