'A heavy cloud over Waterford' - Community mourns the deaths of woman and unborn child

Communities across Waterford are mourning the death of a young woman and her unborn son. 

Allison Connors of Ballybeg, Waterford died on Sunday September 10 along with her unborn baby, Michael Anthony. 

Their deaths are deeply regretted by her adoring children, Molly Mae and Rubyanna, her heartbroken parents Gerry and Diane, brother Larry, sisters Mary and Theresa, her partner Mick and his family, brothers-in-law Paddy and Jimboy, sister-in-law Star, aunts and uncles, and extended family and friends. 

Allison is reposing at Falconer's Funeral Home in Riverstown, Tramore (X91 TW21) on Friday (September 15), from 4.30pm to 7pm. 

The funerals will take place on Saturday (September 16) at 12noon in Saint Saviours Church, Ballybeg, followed by burial immediately afterwards in Kilbarry Cemetery. 

The funeral cortège will walk from Allison's home at 17 Clonard Park on Saturday at 11.45. 

A message of sympathy can be left in the condolence section on RIP.ie. 

Tributes from people in Allison's community have come pouring in, with hundreds of messages lodged in the online Book of Condolence.

One person wrote: "I had the pleasure of working with Allison. She was truly a beautiful person inside and out. Always talking about her beautiful young girls and family. May Allison's beautiful soul rest in peace with her beautiful angel baby Michael. Sincere condolences to her family, partner and her girls at this horrific time." 

Another person stated "Even though I didn't [know] you Allison there is a heavy cloud all over Waterford, hope you are at ease now. Thinking of all your family and your dearest friends." 

Mass cards can be posted to Luke Hennessy Funeral Directors, St. Ursula’s Tce, Waterford.
