Gardaí arrest three men in Waterford on suspicion of money laundering offences

Gardaí have arrested three men in Waterford suspected of having committed money laundering offences.

The arrests were made following searches in Waterford City earlier today (Thursday January 19) as part of the ongoing Operation Thor, which was launched seven years ago to tackle an increase in burglaries and criminal activity during winter months.

Gardaí also seized €45,000 in cash from three locations as part of today's operation.

The arrested men - two of whom are aged in their 30s with one in his 40s - are currently detained at Tramore and Dungarvan Garda Stations under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

Investigations are ongoing.
