A driver has been caught travelling well in excess of the speed limit on the N25 Waterford By Pass, with a fine imposed.
Gardaí from the Waterford Roads Policing Unit were conducting speed checks on N25 Waterford By Pass when they detected the driver travelling at 155kph in a 100kph zone.
They were stopped and the driver received a €160 fine.
Increased fines came in for road traffic offences in the past month, meaning the speeding driver faces double the fine they would have received earlier in October.
