Council announces road closure in Waterford coastal town to facilitate Special Olympics

Waterford City and County Council is issuing notice of an upcoming road closure in Dungarvan.

According to the council, Davitts Quay (from Davitts Quay Roundabout to Dungarvan Harbour Sailing Club) will close to through traffic from 12.30pm to 3pm on Sunday December 4, 2022 to facilitate the Special Olympics and Garda LETR Polar Plunge. 

Diversion routes will be in place on Bridge Street, Cross Bridge Street, Carberrys Lane, Galweys Lane, Thompsons Lane, and Main Street through to Castle Street.

Waterford City & County Council wishes to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
