Waterford Fine Gael express no-confidence in John Deasy

Fine Gael members in Waterford has passed a no-confidence motion in TD for the county, John Deasy.

Deasy has long been criticised within the party ranks who took issue with his performance and expressed disappointment with the party's recent local election performance in Waterford.

The no-confidence vote took place at a meeting of the organisation in Dungarvan. Mr Deasy was not in attendance, according to RTE News.

The national executive of the party will be informed of the vote carried on Monday evening, June 24.

It's unclear if Deputy Deasy intends on running in the next General Election.
