Waterford Live breaks through one million page views barrier

Waterford's newest online news website, Waterford Live, has broken through the one million page views barrier.

The website, operated as part of the Iconic Newspapers group, was launched in July last year and surpassed the one million page views barrier in recent weeks.

The website has now hit the 1.1 million page views mark and continues to grow, attracting almost 700,000 users since its launch.

Waterford Live is the only dedicated and 24-hour online news service in the county, bringing readers breaking news, weather, sport, lifestyle, entertainment and community news.

It is part of the Iconic Newspapers group which also includes a host of print titles, including the Limerick Leader, Longford Leader, Leinster Leader and Donegal Democrat, as well as other online-only titles like Carlow Live.

"We have a small but dedicated team at Waterford Live but we are constantly striving to produce engaging content for our growing base of readers in Waterford and beyond," the Waterford Live team said.

"We hope we are keeping people informed on local issues, as well as providing some entertainment."

"The Waterford All Time Greats series of polls to crown the county's greatest ever person have also played a huge part in the website exceeding the one million mark and have certainly caught the attention of readers."

"We would like to sincerely thank everyone who has visited our site in the last six months and those who continue to support our venture which aims to become the primary resource for news, sport and entertainment in Waterford," the team said.
