Waterford school off to Dublin for All-Ireland quarter-final

Presentation Secondary School Waterford’s under 19 A basketball team is off to Dublin on Monday to play an All-Ireland quarter final.

The Waterford school take on Coláiste na Sceilge (Kerry) at the National Basketball Arena, after beating Coláiste Choilm (Cork), Presentation Secondary School (Kilkenny) And Our Lady’s Secondary School (Castleblaney) in the play-offs.

The final match against Our Lady’s Secondary School in particular had supporters on the edge of their seats right down to the last second, with the Waterford school emerging victorious on a scoreline of 39-37.

Coached by Claire Kelly, the team is made up of Hollie Meagher, Eeman Fatima, Margaret Phelan, Niamh Sullivan, Uwa Osharieme, Debbie Ogayemi ,Gráinne Browne, Robyn Morrissey, Ciara Butler and Bami Olukayode.
