Christmas fundraiser and shoebox appeal for Helping Hand Waterford

A group of friends will host an annual Christmas fundraiser for Helping Hand Waterford this month.

The fundraiser takes place on December 14 from 9:30am to 3pm on Main Street in Carrick-on-Suir (building next to AIB).

There will be Christmas table centrepieces, wreaths, cakes, buns and lots more. Funds raised will also go to Carrick-on-Suir Meals on Wheels.

Last year's fundraiser raised €2,000 for Helping Hand, who are a small group of Waterford volunteers that provide meals and support to those in need.

Helping Hand has also launched its annual shoebox appeal. The shoebox's can be for either men or women and should contain toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant, socks, razors, gloves and treats. They can be dropped off at St. Patrick's Gateway in Waterford.
