Two Waterford tourist attractions will fight it out for the same award at the 2019 Irish Tourism Industry Awards.

The Waterford Greenway and the House of Waterford Crystal have both been shortlisted for the Best Ireland’s Ancient East Tourism Experience in the large attraction category.

They will go up against Castlecomer Discovery Park, The Spike Island Experience and the Jameson Distillery Midleton for the accolade.

Waterford is also represented in the small category of the Best Ireland’s Ancient East Tourism Experience by the King of the Vikings 3D Virtual Reality Adventure. It will go up against the Making Mór of Ireland’s Ancient East – The Irish Experience; Farm to Fork Tour – EI Travel Group; Driftwood Tours – Vagabond Tours of Ireland; Bargetrips on the Grand Canal – bargetrip.ie.

The awards will be presented at a glittering ceremony in Dublin's Burlington Hotel on February 1, 2019.
