Waterford senator Grace O’Sullivan has been selected to run for the European Parliament
Waterford senator Grace O’Sullivan has been selected as the Green Party Ireland candidate for the Ireland South constituency in next May's European elections.
Senator O’Sullivan previously ran for the European Parliament in 2014, before becoming the first Green Party senator elected to the Seanad on the agriculture panel in 2016.
“I'll be fighting this election to be a voice for the South East in Europe, and for Ireland to seize all the opportunities that a green clean energy future offers,” Senator O’Sullivan said.
“Modern, diverse and independent agriculture, clean air and water; tackling the climate crisis head on; and a fairer, more transparent and democratic Europe are my priorities,” she added.
