A number of bookmakers have suspended betting on Waterford's Airtricity League clash with Limerick at the RSC this evening.
It has been reported that irregular betting patterns were detected earlier today with some reports suggesting €100,000 was staked on the game at bookies shops.
€120,000 has also been matched on the betting exchange, Betfair, according to RTE.
Paddy Power and Boylesports have suspended betting on the event.
A spokesperson for Boylesports told Waterford Live, "We are aware of the reports and I can confirm that we suspended betting earlier today on the game."
Waterford are already assured of fourth spot in the league and European football next season while Limerick are languishing at the foot of the table.
It's understood a flurry of bets were placed on Limerick, the rank outsiders, to win the game. The struggling club had been priced at as big as 33/1 to take all three points at the RSC.
