The Waterford based Irish Coast Guard helicopter, Rescue 117, was deployed on Saturday evening to assist in a search for two missing kayakers.
The helicopter crew were deployed along with units from Kilmore Quay Coast Guard and Fethard Lifeboats to search from the missing people off the Wexford coast.
The situation arose shortly after 8pm on Saturday evening, September 1, when a call came through alerting units to the missing kayakers who had been travelling between the Cullenstown and Keereagh Islands.
An extensive search took place before both parties were located safe and well and all units were stood down. No injuries were reported during the incident.
