Waterford patients on trolleys decreases in 24 hours

There are nine people on trolleys and the ward at University Hospital Waterford on Friday (August 10).

There are nine people on trolleys and the ward at University Hospital Waterford on Friday (August 10), according to the latest trolley and ward watch figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation.

The figure represents a decrease of 18 patients compared to yesterday (Thursday, August 9) when there were 27 people on trolleys and the ward at University Hospital Waterford

The nationwide figure for Friday is 326, an increase of 6% on the same day last year when there were 307 patients on trolleys.

The hospitals with the highest numbers on Friday are University Hospital Limerick (43) and Cork University Hospital (31).
